I came across this page when I was googling my family name and I couldn't believe there is a while community of Ning's out there! My parents and I immigrated to New Zealand about 10 years ago and I've been here ever since. I think I have only met 2 people with the same last name as me my entire life! My Family is originally from Xi-an and we go back to visit every couple of years . It's fantastic to find out a little bit about my family history its very intriguing !

Hey Nings,
I am curious to see how large the Ning family is, and if there's any links that I could find in an extended family tree. Please check out www.geni.com and search for my name (I am the only one by this name). I have tried to go back as far as I can, and am curious to see if it can go back further or find a missing branch.

Dear all Ning family
I am Ninh Van Giang (in Vietnamese Ninh means Ning) from Hanoi, Vietnam. I just heard about Ning family in China and visit your website www.ningcn.com, it is a great pleasure to know that website because I also belong to Ning family.
In Vietnam, we also have our own website: http://donghoninh.wordpress.com/ in Vietnamese where we connect people in Ning family all around Vietnam. Although it is just some years in operation, through the website we have connect many Ning families in different provinces:
+Ninh Binh& Nam Dinh province with thousands of people with long-recorded history from year 901
+Bac Giang ( 100km away from China border) with history begining from 1571
and many other groups of Ning families from North to South of Vietnam.
To faciliate communication among Ning people and to get to know more about our ancestors and our origins, we founded communiaction board of Ning family. Our job is to search for information of Ning family, contact and organize events related to Ning groups. This year we had the first Ning family meeting in March when we had chance to know more about our Ning history.
I am writing here with hope to exchange information about our Ning family, to know how Ning people living all around the world and especially to find some hints for origin of Ning family in Vietnam.

Hi Dear Brothers & Sisters of the Ning Clan. I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but am visiting my niece, Nancy Ning in Shanghai. Through her I learn of this great website. Congratulations and thank you brother Hope for this wonderful effort to unite the Ning Clan wordwide. Coincidentally, I was embarking on a journey to trace my family tree. This website is thus a great discovery for me.
I am aware of the Ning Association in Klau Sungai Ruan, Pahang, Malaysia, but has not been actively involved in its activities - being in Kuala Kumpur. It is great to have this world wide Ning Association and being able to find our ancestral roots.
Please keep up the wonderful work and I am indeed very interested to be more connected with our grand uncles / grand aunties, brothers & sisters throughout the world. I will be happy to hear from all of you soon.

Hi there. I'm a member of the Ning clan who has never been to China and did not know there was an entire family out there. My parents migrated to New Zealand from Hong Kong 25-30 years ago, and it is extremely rare to find another person with the last name Ning in this country. It is fantastic that this site exists, although it is getting really hard to find because when you google it comes up with ning.com sites (social networking) instead. I hope this page will continue to be maintained and updated. It is exciting to see that I do come from somewhere!!
